ISO images of Messier Objects

Infrared Space Observatory (ISO) was an astronomy satellite operated by ESA. First proposed in 1979 and developed from 1983, ISO was launched in November, 1995 by an Ariane 44P. The satellite operated successfully until May, 1998. With its four instruments (ISO CAM, ISO LWS, ISO PHT, and ISO SWS), it obtained considerable amount of data and images of astronomical objects in the infrared light, or infrared part of the electromagnetic spectrum.
