[M30, CXO]

Chandra X-ray Image of Globular Cluster M30 shows only a comparatively moderate number of X-ray emitting stellar sources. This shows that M30 has less X-ray binaries than other globular clusters, such as M62. As these close binary stars are thought to form in close encounters within the globular, this fact indicates that close encounters between stars occur less often in M30.
